Texas Center for Patient Safety: 2026 Patient Safety Conference

Fort Worth, TX US
April 2, 2026

Healthcare teams are not always able to consistently use evidence-based, patient-centered safety practices and this leads to preventable harm in healthcare settings. This happens due to differences in practice, communication challenges, inconsistent teamwork, limited use of new safety ideas, and everyday barriers like time pressures and competing priorities. Education is needed to help teams put practical, evidence-based, and innovative patient safety strategies into everyday practice to improve care quality and safety.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, certified public health professionals, social workers, physical therapists in Texas, certified health education specialist, and community health workers.

Learning Objectives

Upon the completion of this conference, you should be able to:

  • Apply patient-centered approaches to support safety, resilience, and equity in practice.
  • Evaluate innovative strategies that promote safer, more reliable care across diverse healthcare environments.
  • Describe evidence-based and interprofessional strategies that promote patient safety and quality care.
