Shraddha Bhonsle
Shraddha Bhonsle is a second-year medical student at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine whose work sits at the intersection of clinical medicine, health policy, and community advocacy. Drawing on a background in Molecular Biology and Public Policy, she focuses on how upstream systems, from food production to healthcare access, shape patient outcomes, and where physician advocacy can intervene most effectively.
She currently leads the Refugee Health Clinic, serves on the AMA-MSS national Committee on Legislation and Advocacy, and is an NIH MRSP Fellow. As an Albert Schweitzer Fellow, she teaches sensory cooking to memory care residents, bringing her belief that food is medicine, from policy into practice.
Her work is guided by a single question she returns to constantly: what does it mean to build a career in medicine, and who should it ultimately serve. Outside of school she enjoys exploring the outdoors, experimenting with cake flavors, fostering dogs, and making content for her advocacy platform (@quietworkcollective).
