TCOM: 2024 Educational Conclave

The Annual Education Conclave of UNTHSC Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine is a developmental workshop for leaders, teaching physicians, and administrators of undergraduate medical education sites and graduate medical education programs affiliated with UNTHSC/TCOM. Updates on topics of current and emerging interest to the attendees will be presented, as well as general faculty and other leadership development programs.

The Poster Session of the Conclave serves as a state‐level venue for the presentation of scholarly work by residents, faculty, and GME coordinators. Submissions are peer‐reviewed. Resident posters are judged competitively for the awarding of prizes and recognition.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for teaching physicians and administrators of undergraduate medical education sites and graduate medical education programs affiliated with UNTHSC/TCOM.

  • Implement current strategies for successful delivery of TCOM core undergraduate curriculum.
  • Plan curriculum strategies consistent with accreditation requirements for current and emerging topics in graduate medical education.
  • Develop curriculum strategies consistent with accreditation requirements for current and emerging topics in graduate medical education.

Specific Objectives:

  • Describe the updated requirements for graduate medical education.
  • Integrate effective teaching strategies in busy clinical learning environments.
  • Discuss the professional development opportunities.
  • Utilize the clinician educator milestones to improve teaching and learning skills
