Dr. Fernandez Falcon is board-certified in Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and holds the Designation of Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine.

He is the Medical Director of the Family Medicine Hospital Service - FMHS at University Hospital, University Health System - UHS, and the Associate Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program from the Family & Community Medicine Department at UT Health San Antonio.

He has been faculty for the Family & Community Medicine Department at UT Health San Antonio since 2012 and is currently hold the academic rank of Associate Professor, Clinical.

He trained in Family Medicine at the Corpus Christi Family Medicine Residency Program, in Corpus Christi, Texas; and completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the Carilion Center for Healthy Aging, in Roanoke, Virginia.
