TAGS: 2026 Summer Forum - "The Game of Modern Aging"
"The Game of Modern Aging" Summer Forum fully embodies TAGS and our mission. Education is at the core with six hours of CEUs provided to social workers, nurses, and physical therapists. This live event takes place at Hurst Conference Center in Fort Worth and has 6 different expert speakers educating attendees on the field of aging. This activity is designed to promote interprofessional collaboration among healthcare, social service, senior living, rehabilitation, nursing, physician, pastoral care, and aging-services professionals. Participants will gain a greater understanding of the roles, expertise, and contributions of multiple disciplines involved in caring for older adults and will be better equipped to collaborate across professions to improve outcomes and patient experience.
Target Audience
This live activity is intended for nurses, social workers, and Texas-licensed physical therapists.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe current trends, challenges, and innovations impacting older adults across healthcare, senior living, and community-based services.
- Identify evidence-informed approaches to supporting older adults experiencing cognitive impairment, dementia-related behaviors, physical disabilities, and psychosocial challenges.
- Apply person-centered strategies that enhance quality of life, patient experience, and interdisciplinary care coordination for aging populations
