Originally from Warren, Ohio. Attended the University of Cincinnati and obtained a BA Degree in Community Health Planning - Hospital Administration. Worked as an Alcohol and Drug Outreach Specialist at a Community Health Clinic in Cincinnati, Ohio./Attended Oral Roberts University and obtained a Master of Divinity Degree. While in Seminary, I served as Director of Summer Ministry to Nigeria and West Africa from 1984-85. Upon graduation, I served as a hospital chaplain at the City of Faith Hospital-Medical Research Center in Tulsa, OK. Began my career with the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, and served as a Staff Chaplain, Supervisory Chaplain, and Chaplaincy Administrator from 19897-2015. During my tenure, I served at (9) federal prisons, including (2) here in the DFW FCI, Sergoville FMC, Carswell, which is the only female medical facility in the country. I was also the Regional Chaplaincy Administrator for the Mid-Atlantic Region for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, covering (16 )Federal prisons in (8) States (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Michigan, and North Carolina). I was also the Bureau's Lead Chaplain for our Crisis Support Team, responsible for providing Critical Incident Stress Management for Bureau Staff, inmates, and family members who experience a traumatic event ranging from executions, suicides, homicides, prison riots, hostage situations, food strikes, hurricanes, fires, floods, tornadoes, etc.
From 1988-1999, served as a Chaplain in the United Navy
From 2015 to present, served as a Hospital Chaplain with Methodist Health System, where I am currently the Manager of the Pastoral Services Department at Methodist Medical Center.
In 2015, upon my retirement from the Bureau of Parions, I started a 5013(c) Non -Profit Organization - Faith Without Walls Prison Outreach (FWWP), which is a faith-based outreach ministry providing programs and assistance to individuals incarcerated, returning citizens, and their family members who have been impacted by crime, incarceration, and violence.
