Marybeth Missenda is a health system pharmacist with over 20 years of experience in hospital pharmacy and a specialization in Parenteral Nutrition.  She graduated from Duquesne University in 1989 with a BS in Pharmacy.  Her varied international experience as the Director of Pharmacy for Hospital Albert Schweitzer in Deschapelles, Haiti, and pharmacy consultant for the Pan-American Health Organization in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and the island of Montserrat in the Caribbean, gave her an appreciation for integrative approaches to healthcare that embraced traditional approaches.  She is currently teaching in the School of Integrative Health at Notre Dame of Maryland University (formerly Maryland University of Integrative Health) in the nutrition, health coaching, and Integrative Health Studies departments, where she brings together her experience and passion for the inter-professional collaboration between practitioners to meet the challenges of today’s healthcare system.  Her eclectic experiences provide a unique perspective on disease, illness, health, and wellbeing.
