Adenike Atanda, Adenike Atanda-Oshikoya PharmD, BCACP, CDCES, CTTS

Dr. Adenike Atanda-Oshikoya is an Assistant Dean of Student Success and Academic Performance, Director of the Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE) and Associate Professor of Pharmacotherapy at the University of North Texas System College of Pharmacy (UNTSCP).
She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Valley Health and a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy. She is an active member of the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society.
Her practice interests include chronic disease state management with a focus on diabetes care and sickle cell anemia. As a Board-Certified Ambulatory Care Specialist (BCACP) and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), she served as the director of the HSC Health Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) program, where she led the education efforts provided by an interdisciplinary faculty of physical therapists, nurse practitioner, physicians, dietitian and social workers. In addition, she has provided comprehensive pharmacotherapy management to adult and geriatric patients within interprofessional clinic settings for over 10 years and was a member of the UNTHSC Geriatrics ECHO program planning committee that coordinated interdisciplinary seminars and patient case presentations to equip healthcare providers with necessary tools to address health disparities.
