Daniel Carroll is a native Texan pharmacist who grew up in Wink, Texas, and currently lives in Lago Vista.  He began his tenure as Texas State Board of Pharmacy Executive Director in October 2023 after 22 years of pharmacist and leadership experience. His pharmacy journey started as an Air Force pharmacy technician, and over the course of his pharmacist career, he has practiced extensively in hospital settings assuming several hospital leadership roles, including Pharmacy Director at Citizens Medical Center in Victoria, Texas, Cedar Park Regional, and Seton Family of Hospitals; and most recently, the CEO of Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital in Austin, Texas.
