Rachel Roberts, MPH, MCHES

Rachel Roberts is the Community Health Engagement & Strategy Director at the Institute for Healthcare Advancement (IHA). She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Health from California State University, Long Beach.
With a public health career spanning over three decades, Rachel has worked with healthcare professionals and clinicians to design and implement programs aimed at improving community health and well-being. Her expertise includes program planning and delivering education on maternal health, heart health, and diabetes in both clinical and community-based settings. Her experiences include roles at the Orange County Health Care Agency, Mission Hospital’s Camino Health Center, and the American Diabetes Association.
At IHA, Rachel’s focuses on advancing health literacy through professional development and community engagement. She manages the Health Literacy Specialist Certificate Program, which encompasses seven core domains, and actively participates in initiatives to support vulnerable and isolated populations in Orange County.
In addition to her work at IHA, Rachel has been a faculty member at California State University, Fullerton since 2005, teaching in the Public Health and Kinesiology departments.
