Jamie Morgan, MD
Dr. Jamie Morgan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in the division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She graduated from Swarthmore College with degrees in Biology and Spanish Literature, received her medical degree from UT San Antonio Health Science Center and completed both residency and fellowship at UT Southwestern/Parkland. As an academic Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician, Dr. Morgan is passionate about providing care for women with complex medical diseases or major obstetrical complications during pregnancy. Her academic and research efforts focus on obstetrical quality and safety, maternal disease states in pregnancy, and optimization of postpartum care. She currently serves as the Maternal Medical Director at UT Southwestern’s Clements University Hospital, a level IV quaternary referral center in Dallas, Texas.
Regionally, Dr. Morgan leads quality initiatives in her role a Deputy Medical Director for the TexasAIM program, a state initiative funded by the Department of State Health Services aimed at reducing common causes of maternal morbidity and mortality in Texas. In addition to her regional quality leadership, she also participates in national quality and safety efforts as a Clinical Champion for the Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) national organization. Dr. Morgan just completed three years of membership on the SMFM Patient Safety and Quality Committee, where she also acted as a liaison to the SMFM Health Policy and Advocacy Committee and published multiple peer-reviewed quality publications. She has been named a Texas Monthly Super Doctor Rising Star every year since 2019 was named a “Best Doctor” by D Magazine in 2024 and is a member of the Alpha Omega Honor Society.
