Dr. Jennifer Byrd is a board-certified emergency physician at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at JPS in 2020, where she served as Chief Resident, followed by an Ultrasound Fellowship in 2021. Since joining the faculty, Dr. Byrd has served as an Assistant Professor at TCU School of Medicine and as Associate Program Director for the JPS Emergency Medicine Residency. She is also the Medical Director of the JPS Sexual Assault Program.

Dr. Byrd’s academic interests include emergency ultrasound, medical education, research, and improving care for sexual assault survivors. Her work focuses on advancing academic leadership, fostering scholarly productivity, and developing grant-supported initiatives that enhance emergency care delivery.
