Kim D'Avignon, Assistant Criminal District Attorney

Kim D’Avignon is an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Tarrant County, Texas. She has been with the DA’s office since 2001. From 2005-2012, she was in the Crimes Against Children Unit and then in 2019 she started the first Adult Sexual Assault Unit in Tarrant County, serving as the Chief for 5 years. Kim is currently a Trial Specialist with the office. She serves on the Governor’s Task Force for Sexual Assault and was the 2019 winner of the Mitch Poe Award for advocacy for sexual assault victims. She is Board Certified in Criminal Law. Kim received both her undergrad and her law degree from Texas Tech University. Outside of work- for the past 30 summers Kim has run a camp for grieving children known as Camp El Tesoro De La Vida.
