Laine Markham is a Cardiology Physician Assistant (PA) who has practiced at UNTHSC since 2016. Clinically, she has worked in cardiology, pain management, and orthopedic hand surgery. She is also an adjunct professor within the PA Studies program.

Laine Markham, MMS, PA-C, graduated from Midwestern University in Arizona in 2012. In 2016, she joined UNTHSC as faculty practicing in general cardiology at HSC Health. She sees patients in the Health Pavilion clinic as well as through Correctional Medicine at the Federal Medical Center. At HSC Health, she is the Clinical Medical Director for Multispecialty Medicine. She also serves as the 2024-2025 Faculty Senate President. Prior to joining UNTHSC, she practiced orthopedic hand surgery in Arizona and pain management at John Peter Smith in Fort Worth.
