Yasmin Carter, MD, MHS
Dr. Yasmin Partee Carter is originally from Jackson, Mississippi where she obtained her bachelor's degree in biology from Jackson State University and also obtained her master's in health science degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She earned her medical degree and completed her residency training in psychiatry at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. During residency, Dr. Carter was presented with several awards including Best Medical Student Educator and the Howard Rottwarg Award, acknowledging her dedication to research throughout residency. Dr. Carter has a particular interest in early intervention and school-based psychiatric care. She credits her time prior to medical school as a middle and high school teacher as the spark that started her path to child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Carter resides in the North Fort Worth, TX with her husband and German Shepherd dog.
