Lisa Killam-Worrall, PharmD, BCPS

Lisa Killam-Worrall, PharmD, BCPS, is the Vice Chair for Experiential Practice and Education and Associate Professor of Pharmacotherapy at the University of North Texas System College of Pharmacy in Fort Worth, Texas. She received a BS in Biology from the University of North Texas and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin. She completed residency training in drug information practice at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX. Prior to her current position, she was an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Director of the Drug Information Center at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Pharmacy. She was also an adjunct Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Pharmacy and the drug information specialist at The Nebraska Medical Center.
Dr. Worrall has been involved in pharmacy and pharmacy resident education for 20 years. She has had the opportunity to precept numerous PGY-1 pharmacy residents and P4 students in drug information as well as P2 and P3 students in early practice drug information experience. In addition, she has precepted PGY-1 and PGY-2 pharmacy residents in academic administration and P4 students in academia, research and administration and community management. Her teaching efforts in the doctor of pharmacy program have focused mainly on immunization training, over the counter consults, drug information practice, drug literature evaluation and advanced diabetes care.
Dr. Worrall has clinical and research interests in medication safety, evidence-based medicine, formulary management and diabetes management. She has research interests in active learning strategies and activities/courses that promote systematic and critical thinking skills.
