Adam Fox, DPM, DO, FACS
Dr Adam D Fox is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School and faculty in the Division of Trauma Surgery and Critical Care. He is the Interim Trauma Medical Director of the Eric Munoz Trauma Center at University Hospital, Medical Director of the JEMSTAR Air Medical program and Chair of the NJ Committee on Trauma. Dr Fox joined the Rutgers faculty in 2011 after practicing in the divisions of Trauma/Critical Care and Emergency Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and Penn State University.
Dr Fox is an instructor and course director for multiple trauma and critical care related courses. He is an active member of both the Trauma Critical Care Team (TCCT) and Critical Care Air Transport Team (CCATT) of the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) with multiple disaster response deployments. He has also provided surgical care on multiple medical missions around the world. Additionally, he provides medical direction, care, and education to the Newark FBI SWAT Team and other law enforcement agencies.
Dr Fox sits on technical advisory boards, editorial boards of trauma related journals, authored multiple publications/journal articles, and has presented at conferences both nationally and internationally. His interests include leadership in trauma, education, and global trauma and disaster response.
Dr Fox has provided interviews for both print, radio and televised media.
