William Bridges
Dr. Bridges was named the Medical Director of Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth in January 2011 and has served as the hospitals only medical director. Under Dr. Bridges’ medical leadership, Texas Rehabilitation Hospital has earned numerous awards, including 2022 Newsweek America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers, CARF certifications in general rehab, stroke rehabilitation, brain injury, and spinal cord injuries. Texas Rehabilitation Hospital has also finished in the top 10 percent for outcomes, since it’s opening in 2011.
Prior to opening Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth, Dr. Bridges served as the Medical Director of Health South Cityview Hospital from 2005-2011. Dr. Bridges holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Southwestern University. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Bridges completed an internship at Riverside Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia and his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He is also a member of the Physician Advisory Board for Kindred Healthcare, American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and previously served as the Director of National Physician Council for Centerre Healthcare Corporation.
