Cindy Weston, is Founding Dean & Professor for the University of North Texas Health Science Center College of Nursing and a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been a co-recipient of more than $25 million in funding to implement nurse-led interprofessional care delivery models, innovative simulation, and integrated behavioral health care models, and a mobile school-based clinic. Dr. Weston has focused on policy initiatives to advance full practice authority for nurse practitioners to increase access to care. She is past president of the Texas Nurse Practitioners Association. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Nursing Practitioners and the American Academy of Nursing.
