Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and integrative Medicine, Dr Guarneri is the founder of Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine and the current medical director of Guarneri Integrative Health. She is been a researcher on innovative studies in interventional cardiology and has served as a principle investigator for the Ornish Lifestyle Change Program.

Dr Guarneri  has served as founder and President of The Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine. She has served as a founding board member for APBS Integrative Medicine board certification.

Dr Guarneri is the recipient of multiple awards including the Linus Pauling Lifetime achievement award from the Institute of functional Medicine and the Bravewell Leadership Award.
