Theresa Mendoza, B.S. in Business
Theresa Mendoza is the Director of Quality, Business Intelligence and Data Services for the DFWHC Education and Research Foundation and has more than 25 years of management and director experience in healthcare information technology and informatics in the North Texas area hospital systems. Prior to working for the DFWHC Foundation she was a Project Lead at Texas Health Resources in the Clinical Outcomes and Performance Improvement Department and managed the IT Department for the DFWHC Medical Center. Over the last 25 years working in Healthcare Technology and Informatics, she has developed a passion for how data can be utilized to improve outcomes, quality of healthcare delivery, and community health.
Ms. Mendoza is currently serving on the Texas Healthcare Information Council Data Collection Workgroup and oversees the North Texas Health Information and Quality Collaborative. Because of her experience with healthcare data she has presented at multiple regional, statewide, and national conferences. She works with multiple partners to utilize data in unique ways that bring new insights to the community such as the Smart Justice Project and the Smart Growth for Dallas Project. She and her team are responsible for the development and implementation of robust analytics that allow participants to examine market share, hospital acquired conditions, ER utilization, physician data, community health, and readmissions utilizing hospital discharge data.
