TCOM: Foundations of Osteopathic Manipulation Microcredential (May 2024)

This course creates an avenue for medical practitioners to receive additional training in Osteopathic diagnosis and technique while providing recognition for their demonstration of proficiency in these skills. The course will provide basic and foundational knowledge and skills that participants can begin to apply in their clinical area. These skills are then expanded in future course offerings.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, and physical therapists.

Learning Objectives

When you complete this module, you will be able to:

  • Define the history, philosophy, terminology, and treatment modules of osteopathic medicine. 

  • Perform foundational clinical skills of osteopathic manipulative treatment. 

  • Implement appropriate documentation, billing, coding, and supervision of OMT.
