TCOM: Foundational Manual Approaches to the Low Back and Pelvis Microcredential (July 2025)
This course will build on the fundamental principles learned in your first course to help you apply osteopathic diagnosis and techniques to the lower back, sacrum, and pelvis. Anatomic structures in these areas contribute to low back pain and osteopathic manipulation is an effective modality for many patients.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, and physical therapists (licensed in Texas).
Learning Objectives
When you complete this module, you will be able to:
- CLO 1: Apply osteopathic screening, diagnosis, and treatment of the pelvis and lumbar regions to patients with non-specific low back pain.
- CLO 2: Perform foundational clinical skills of osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT).
- CLO 3: Implement appropriate documentation, billing, coding, and supervision of OMT. *Applicable to physicians only
