1. Apply the concept that surgical interventions in the ocular posterior segment may impact the health of the anterior segment
2. Develop new approaches to stratification of race in basic science and clinical research
3. Recognize that racial disparities of glaucoma may include both basic physiologic differences and social determinants of health
