HSCCP: 2025 Empowering Students: Strategies for Fostering Independence on Experiential Rotations

This continuing education activity equips pharmacists with strategies to foster student autonomy, provide constructive feedback, and gradually increase student responsibility during experiential rotations. Participants will explore practical scaffolding methods, learn how to support students, and address common challenges in developing student independence. Interactive discussions and case-based activities will allow attendees to apply these concepts to real-world scenarios, promoting effective precepting and collaboration in pharmacy education.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for Pharmacist Preceptors.

  • Identify strategies to foster student autonomy.
  • Explore methods for providing constructive feedback.
  • Develop approaches to gradually increase student responsibility.

Pharmacist

This knowledge-based activity has been assigned UAN JA0004637-0000-25-048-L99-P and will award 1 contact hour of continuing pharmacy education credit in states that recognized ACPE Providers. 

Statements of participation will indicate hours and CEUs based on participation and will be issued online at the conclusion of the activity. Successful completion includes completing the activity, its accompanying evaluation and/or posttest (score 70% or higher) and requesting credit online at the conclusion of the activity. 

Credit will be uploaded to CPE Monitor, and participants may print a statement of credit or transcript from their NABP e-profile. HSC complies with the Accreditation Standards for Continuing Pharmacy Education.
