HSCCP: 2021-24 Enhancing Student Assessment and Feedback Questions
Preceptors require advanced skills in assessing and providing feedback to pharmacy students during their rotations. However, preceptors often encounter the challenge of tailoring assessment and feedback methods to meet the diverse needs of students and rotation contexts. This activity will equip preceptors with tools to implement a variety of assessment methods and customize their feedback approaches.
This activity is intended for pharmacists.
When you complete this module, you will be able to:
- Evaluate students using formal and informal assessment methods and use these methods to provide targeted, timely feedback.
- Identify feedback methods that may be tailored based on student and rotation needs.
- Develop a comprehension plan to link student self-assessment to formative and summative feedback.
- Implement the use of feedback to frame upcoming expectations and elevate student performance.
- Design an experiential rotation calendar incorporating at least three novel assessment and feedback strategies.
