Healthy Start: 2023 Black Reproductive Health Summit
Faith-based communities can play a significant and supportive role in addressing issues related to Black Maternal Health. Including, maternal health disparities such as higher rates of maternal mortality, and morbidity among Black women. Faith-based communities can contribute to addressing these disparities in several ways: awareness & education, emotional & spiritual support, access to resources, collaborative partnerships, etc. Faith-based communities can collaborate with healthcare institutions, community organizations, and local agencies to create a coordinated effort to improve Black maternal health outcomes. By working together, we can leverage our combined resources and expertise to achieve better results.
In this summit, we hope to engage the faith-based community and help them understand their faith-based role in understanding Black Maternal Health and strengthen our community partnerships.
