Integrative cardiology combines conventional cardiology with complementary and alternative therapies to provide a holistic approach to heart health. This field emphasizes not only the treatment of cardiovascular conditions but also the prevention of disease through lifestyle modifications, nutrition, and mind-body practices. By addressing the physical, emotional, and social aspects of health, integrative cardiology aims to improve patient outcomes and overall well-being.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and social workers.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Discuss the integration of conventional cardiology with complementary and lifestyle-based approaches.
- Identify evidence-based integrative interventions for cardiovascular health.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans that address both the prevention and management of cardiovascular conditions.
