AIHM-FIWH 131: Integrative Pulmonary Medicine

Integrative pulmonology bridges conventional respiratory care with holistic practices to enhance overall lung health. This field emphasizes the synergy between the microbiome and respiratory system, recognizing the gut-lung axis as a key player in disease management and prevention. Through a combination of traditional treatments and integrative modalities such as acupuncture, yoga, and nutritional interventions, integrative pulmonology offers a comprehensive approach to conditions like asthma and COPD, aiming for improved patient outcomes and quality of life.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and social workers.
