AIHM: 2025-27 Qigong: Ancient Mind Body Selfcare Practices for Disease Prevention, Stress Mastery and Healing

This session explores the ancient practice of Qigong as a powerful mind-body approach to disease prevention, stress mastery, and healing. Participants will learn the foundational principles and benefits of Qigong, gaining insight into its physiological and energetic effects on the nervous system, immune function, and overall health. Through guided practice, learners will apply Qigong breathing and movement techniques to reduce stress, enhance resilience, and support healing in both personal and clinical settings. This session offers practical tools for integrating Qigong into daily life and patient care.

 

Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, and pharmacists.

Upon the completion of this module, learners will be able to:

  • Describe the foundational principles and benefits of Qigong as a mind-body practice for disease prevention, stress mastery, and healing.
