Stephanie Eisenbaum, LCSW
Stephanie Eisenbaum, LCSW, is the Manager of Peer Support in the Chief Wellness Office at UT MD Anderson, where she is developing and launching UT MD Anderson Peers, the institution's peer support program, as well as its Stress First Aid training programs for the entire workforce. She collaborates with leaders across the organization to strengthen workforce well-being through evidence-based education, organizational partnerships, and sustainable systems of support following stressful clinical events. Her work focuses on fostering psychologically safe, resilient, and compassionate workplace cultures.
Stephanie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of experience in healthcare and higher education. Her professional background includes inpatient medical social work, behavioral health, workforce development, and graduate education. Prior to joining MD Anderson, she directed a $1.9 million federally funded behavioral health workforce program at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work, where she also served as an adjunct faculty member. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Work at the University of Houston, with research interests focused on healthcare workforce well-being, professional identity, and organizational support for healthcare professionals. Stephanie also serves as a board member for Texas Talks, a statewide 501(c)3 charitable organization who advocates for and educates about meaningful conversations between patients and their healthcare providers as they face advanced illness and end-of-life.
