Ariel Portera, DO is a board-certified Family Physician and an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at UC San Diego. She is an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner and a current fellow at UC Irvine's Integrative and Functional Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Portera provides primary care to patients of all ages. Additionally, she sees patients through UC San Diego's Center for Integrative Medicine where she provides integrative consultative care, Osteopathic Manual Medicine and Pain Reprocessing Therapy. Her current research focuses on the use of Pain Reprocessing Therapy in the treatment of nociplastic pain conditions.
