Andrew Ecker has worked with recreational drumming and sound medicine for over 25 years. He is a nationally recognized conference presenter, Peer Support Specialist, Certified White Bison Recovery Coach, and the developer of the Drumming Sounds Protocol—an evidence-based wellness intervention that blends sound medicine and recreational drumming to regulate the nervous system and support emotional healing.
Rooted in post-colonial improvisational drumming from New Orleans and inspired by ancestral drumming traditions, the Drumming Sounds method fosters a deep sense of creativity, embodiment, and well-being. Andrew has trained over 350 facilitators in this powerful modality.
As a certified Drum Circle Facilitator (DCF) and sound medicine practitioner, Andrew has facilitated more than 5,000 wellness-based interventions in a wide range of healthcare and community settings, including:
