Renee Schneider is an Alexander Technique teacher and founding member of the AT Liberation Project. She organized a 2019 national conference “Our Community's Future: Diversity, Equity and Belonging” and successfully spearheaded adopting DEIBA as a bylaw purpose of the American Society for the Alexander Technique, overwhelmingly approved by its members in July 2025. Renee helped launched AmSAT’s Diversity Committee and Judith Leibowitz Scholarship which raised over $150,000 for training BIPOC Alexander teachers. 

Renee is trained in Somatic Experiencing, Perrin Technique, Reiki among other trauma and bodywork modalities.
