Jason Burnett, PhD is an Associate Professor with the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, Houston and Director of the Texas Elder Abuse and Mistreatment Collaboratory. Jason focuses his current research and program development on identifying and addressing social connection and mental health factors associated with elder mistreatment and self-neglect onset and continuation. He also focuses his efforts on addressing modifiable social and mental health factors in stroke survivors. Dr. Burnett has also established a university-wide Social Connection Program at UTHealth Houston to drive social connection interventions and innovations at the intersection of aging care services and the healthcare sector.
