Christina Rector

Christina Rector is the District Director for Houston Adult Protective Services with 31 years of Public Service. She is a native Houstonian and proud graduate of Texas Southern University. Over the years Christina’s passion to advocate and protect her most vulnerable clients aligns with her purpose to serve others. Christina also founds immense joy inspiring others to have a passion to serve and empower vulnerable clients. Christina’s cornerstone will always be “treating each client like you would want someone to treat your loved one”.
In 2019 APS created a Specialized Exploitation Unit. Christina was excited when asked to develop a team for the Houston District. She is on a mission to build stronger community partnerships to bring justice for our vulnerable clients. Christina worked with the Texas Office of Attorney General Medicaid Fraud Unit to form a multi-agency Abuse Neglect Exploitation (ANE) Taskforce. The collaboration bridged partnerships with Harris County Sheriff Department Boarding Home Detail, Harris County Fire Marshall, Fort Bend County Attorney Office, Houston Police Department Boarding Home Division, HHS and many other critical partners. Christina is also proud of the APS Houston District’s partnership Texas Southern University and University of Houston Downtown.
