John Halphen, MD, JD is a Professor with the Joan and Stanford Alexander Division of Geriatric & Palliative Medicine, McGovern Medical School at UT Health, Houston.  He is board certified in Geriatric Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, as well as Family Medicine.  He is the medical director of the Forensic Assessment Network – Adult Protective Services in Texas.  He works with Adult Protective Services as well as with Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine services.  He has extensive experience in elder mistreatment, ethics, and other areas.
