I am currently a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and geriatrics at UNTHSC/TCOM . Over the last one decade I had served as a Program Director of Internal Medicine Residency Program, Clerkship Director M3 overseeing 5 sites, Division Chief of Internal Medicine, Chief of hospital medicine along with the research lead for various institutions. My teaching activity focuses on innovation in academics, medical literature review articles, case studies and meta-analysis. More specifically, my work in this field is situated into three subcategories: (1) Development of Educational courses and Comprehensive review articles and case studies (2) Quality/Process improvement with special focus on readmission reductions to improve quality of life and healthcare expenditure (3) Cross-sectional studies and Meta-analysis studies. I also serve as an expert reviewer for 30 journals and associate editor of American Federation of medical research.
