Abby Hulsizer, PharmD, BCPS
Education & Experience:
I received my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the UNT Health Science Center College of Pharmacy in Fort Worth, Texas in 2018. Upon graduating, I completed a PGY1/PGY2 pharmacotherapy residency at the University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy in San Antonio, Texas where I focused my time in internal medicine and academia. In the fall of 2020, I returned to Fort Worth and my alma mater to join the Pharmacotherapy Department at HSC College of Pharmacy.
Teaching Areas & Interests:
I am currently serving as director for the Integrated Pharmacotherapy (IPT) Neuro/Psych course and co-director for the Post-Graduate Preparation elective where I will also be teaching in the Spring 2024 semester. I am also involved in teaching in the IPT Endocrine, IPT Critical Care, IPT Respiratory/GI, and Evidence-Based Healthcare courses in the spring semesters and IPT Cardio/Renal in the fall semesters. My general interests include inpatient management of diabetes, psychiatry, cardiovascular diseases such as ACS and heart failure, and career preparation. My involvement in career preparation extends beyond the classroom where I currently serve as the Director for the PILL Mentorship program where I lead 15 pharmacists in different pharmacy careers in their mentorship of students with similar interests.
