Fredricka Barr, Fredricka Barr, MD, FAAFP
Dr. Fredricka Barr, has been dedicated to teaching medical students since 2018. She served as an Adjunct Professor at The University of Texas at Austin, Dell Medical School until 2022, and then moved to Fort Worth to become an Assistant Professor and Family Medicine Clerkship Director at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2023. Dr. Barr graduated from the Graduate Certificate in Academic Medicine Program in May 2024, where she enhanced her skills in curriculum development, instructional design, clinical teaching, professional development, and assessment. Her passion lies in teaching future physicians and helping them be successful by focusing on preventative care and addressing social determinants of health. She aims to guide students in developing individualized care plans to improve healthcare outcomes by treating the whole person.
