Dr. Meaghan Nelsen is originally from New York and graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Master's degree in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine as well as a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology in New Jersey and went on to practice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After seven years in ObGyn, she went on to complete a second residency in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at Southampton Hospital in New York. She is now the only physician in the country maintaining dual Board certifications in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. Dr. Nelsen is dedicated to training the next generation of osteopathic physicians at UNTHSC-TCOM where she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, serving as the Course Director for Year 2 OMM as well as Reproductive Endocrinology 2. Dr. Nelsen specializes in providing osteopathic manipulation for women, infants and children & recently added International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant to her credentials to better serve her patients.
