Dr. Fix Bio. 

Dr. Jennifer Fix is an Associate Professor with the University of North Texas System College of Pharmacy located in Fort Worth, Texas. She serves as the Director of Skills Laboratory Experiences.   Prior to joining the College of Pharmacy, she owned and operated an independent pharmacy in Tarrant County for 25 years.   She is a founding member of the Alliance of Independent Pharmacy and a Past President of the Texas Pharmacy Association and the Tarrant County Pharmacy Association.  

At the College of Pharmacy, along with many committee responsibilities, Dr. Fix teaches lab classes including  Advanced Non-Sterile Compounding and Sterile Compounding. to second and third-year students.  She is advancing compounding education through the Emphasis in Pharmacy Compounding.  She has served on the experiential services team and continues to precept P4 APPE students.   She is board certified by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties in both Ambulatory Care Pharmacy and Geriatric Pharmacy.  As a clinical pharmacist, she collaborated with GI physicians, fellows, and residents to develop and implement treatment plans for Hepatitis C patients.
