Biographical Sketch
Sarah J. Matches, DO, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the department of Pediatrics and Women’s Health at UNT Health, Fort Worth, Texas. She serves as the Pediatric Clinic Medical Director.
Dr. Matches has been a member of the faculty of the Health Science Center since completing her training in 1994. She sees patients at the Health Pavillion on campus,
and provides primary pediatric care for children from newborns up to age 18.
As a pediatrician, she has been actively involved in advocating for vaccinations to her patients for almost 30 years. She has also made considerable effort in educating other physicians, practitioners, residents, and medical students on the importance of vaccines and education on the advances made and the science behind them so that they also can advocate to their patients. She is committed to providing providers and community members with information to strengthen their own understanding and she gives them tools to provide to parents and patients when having these conversations.
Dr. Matches is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
