CHW COVID-19 Vaccines 101 - 2023-25
This training identifies how CHWs can serve as a link to educate people about COVID-19 vaccines and facilitate community recovery. This includes vaccine clinical trials/research studies, treatments, and vaccines. CHWs learn about providing health-literate information within the cultural practices of their community. This helps people make informed decisions. CHWs help by reducing barriers and increasing health knowledge thus, building community capacity to improve Covid-19 outcomes.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for community health workers.
Learning Objectives
When you complete this module, you will be able to:
- Describe current COVID-19 health issues affecting patients/clients and know where to find answers to difficult questions.
- Explain basics principles of verbal an non-verbal communication.
- Listen actively, communicate with empathy, and gather information in a respectful manner.
- Disseminate information to clients/patients and groups in a clear and concise way.
