CHP: 2025 3rd Year Anniversary
The Center for Health Policy will be celebrating three years of making an impact on improving health outcomes during the upcoming Center for Health Policy Third Anniversary on February 17th – 19th, 2024. This three-day event will - showcase CHP's “Journey So Far” through a video, unveil the impact report, strategic plan, and city of Fort Worth certificate of appreciation. Furthermore, all the programs, projects, and initiatives will be highlighted and a question-and-answer panel session will be hosted. Speakers and panelists will be discussing public health issues and how CHP is growing policy through their expertise and partnership in policy.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, certified public health professionals, and social workers.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity leaners should be able to:
- Discuss how the CHP works to be a trusted source of information for policymakers locally, nationally, and globally.
- Review the impact of policy on various community and health outcomes
- Identify the challenge and necessity of translating research into health policy, of allowing full use of science in the policy cycle and of incorporating health policy into who they are and what they do.
