Series Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Identify new potential treatment options and/or techniques available to treat a variety of pathologies in critical patients, and consider if new literature available should change current practice patterns;
• Appraise peer review articles and analyze applicability to our patient populations; and
• Recognize the current shortcomings in available evidence to treat a specific disease process and how further studies may be needed to clarify important questions.
