Series Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify new potential treatment options and/or techniques available to treat a variety of pathologies in critical patients, and consider if new literature available should change current practice patterns;
  • Appraise peer review articles and analyze applicability to our patient populations; and
  • Recognize the current shortcomings in available evidence to treat a specific disease process and how further studies may be needed to clarify important questions

    In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth and JPS Health Network. The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing Education for the healthcare team.
