  • Evaluate benefits and limitations of medications for dementia, including medications for symptom management;
  • Explain the reasons behind recommending against artificial nutrition and hydration in persons with advanced dementia; and
  • Discuss the principles of beneficence and non-maleficence in the setting of caring for persons living with dementia who have limited decision-making capacity
