Overview
MCA Tumor Board meetings are part of Trauma Quality Improvement Program. Cases that do not fall under the standards of practice may result to unexpected patient outcomes. So, MCA trauma department is committed to review the cases, discuss the ways to improve the care and ultimately the patient outcomes. All mortality data are reviewed as well to go over what could have been done to prevent the death or improve outcomes in other patients.
Series Objectives
Upon completion of this activity leaners should be able to:
- Demonstrate a multi-disciplinary approach in trauma resuscitation and care
- Serve as a resource for the health care providers in trauma realm regarding the care of trauma patients
- Enhance clinical decision making in regard to the care of trauma patients
- Apply standards of care which optimize outcomes in trauma patients
