Session Learning Objectives
Those attending this session will receive information that should allow them to:
- Describe the physical, neurological and psychological indicators of intimate partner violence and human trafficking, including long term health effects;
- Analyze how strangulation is used to exert coercion within abusive relationships including its role in escalating violence; and
- Implement practice trauma informed care with consideration of the social determinants of health to facilitate meaningful responses during victim interaction
