Series Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify areas in behavioral health emergencies where early intervention has improved patient outcomes;
  • Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity which can be used to improve patient experience; and
  • Define evidence-based treatment modalities for substance use disorders (SUD) in high-risk populations in Tarrant County

 

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth and JPS Health Network. The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing Education for the healthcare team. 

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.
